Since I was the host of the show, maybe it’ll be a bit interesting for people to recognized my talent.

“Who are you?”

I’m Nurfateha Hamzah. I’m 21 years old. I come from Kajang. I am not from a very rich family but as long as I have my family supporting me, that’ll be the “Rich” meaning to me.

Family is my gold.

People know my name as Juki. This has nothing to do with any relatives or what not. But I have my perspective to be the delighted person with a new name. Still, my name is Nurfateha. This is also because that I don’t want to lose my ‘bright’ side, therefore, I’ll keep my momentum being an active person underlying the name of Juki.

I want people to act like they know Juki but they don’t know Juki’s real name. I would like to keep it that way as long as I am alive.

“What are you?”

I’m simple as I can be. As long as I am a student. I will act like one, inside and outside. I am no smart like others would expected but I will always try my best to breakthrough my limit. Whatever it takes. People cannot know what I’m in capable of. But people need to aware what we have in common.

Connection that makes a good teamwork.

Highlights on the tasks are always on group work which this can be hard for me to get along with my teammates. (No offense)

I am student. You are a student. We are all students. What’s with the united if we keep on being selfish and ignore the others hence giving them burden instead of ease them ? This is normal. Thus, I also need to prepare my mental to be more wise and philosophical because I have a long way to go.

Right on 12th July, Friday, Prosa Mania Reboot has started. Everything seemed so nervous. Heart throbbing. Anxious

The spectators began to fill the seats.

The lights faded.

The ‘Ribut” song played has finally stopped.

Here I am, waiting behind the black curtains to entertain the audience.

4,3,2,1………Go.

Every faces that shine by the spotlights, there’s a hidden feelings.

Fear.

Nervous.

Anxious.

By the time that it is done, we breathe out and let it all out. Personally , I can’t tell how great it can be to be part of the team.

I just felt calm that Prosa Mania had over. Eventually the marks won’t lie on us performers.

Nevertheless, all that matters that we finally did it.

What else if we’re all not busy hustling with Prosa Mania 2019? As their team, I’m also a part of this upcoming production, which is the actor team. So, let me expose about what we did a few weeks back then.

Little did I know that acting was just piece of cake, but deep down, it’s harder than it seems. I took that challenge. I faced it. I encounter it. I confront it. No matter how good you are, but without practices, it means nothing.

“So, what is the rehearsal all about?”

Well, every time we had rehearsals, we always started with proper warm ups to ensure that we could avoid body injuries. Acting does need exercise, not to mention vocals. The isolation warm up comes in, then followed by vocal and speech exercises so that we don’t get twisted with our own lines.

One thing for sure, which is out of other important notes being an actor is to be CONFIDENT. Personally, I do get tired sometimes but if I don’t give it a try, I will never know, wouldn’t it?

Here are some useful tips for being an actor especially beginners:

• Be confident
• Be wise
• Control our energy and vocal stamina
• Speaks dynamically
• Dominant spaces
• Mind your blocking
• Try to be relax in a suitable way

Experience is the best teacher.

Yes. That’s what they always said. Mostly, experience takes place within ourselves that would lead us to improvising, fixing and becoming better. I rather say that we could not promise that we are in good track but sometimes we lost it. Yet, we helped others to give them support and friendly advises.

I just thought that , in a team, we all had the same, we all felt the same because we are all in this together. No one is left behind. We make sure that everybody work and rest. But actors, we’ll just keep on improvising the lines, the best that we could.

As long as the countdown keeps marked on the calendar, we will make it together.
